Chorus Intelligence, the digital intelligence and investigation software provider, today announced that it will be providing West Midlands Police and the Regional Organised Crime Unit for the West Midlands (ROCUWM) with its cloud-based software to help fight crime.
The contract will see both organisations expand their use of Chorus Analyse, the leading data cleansing and analysis tool, across several departments. With data volumes at an all-time high, the additional licenses will support Analysts and data experts with the streamlined ingestion, formatting, and interrogation of data. Benefits include:
- Improved efficiency through rapid automated processing and formatting of raw data files
- Conduct advanced cell site analysis by mapping and visualising communications data
- Overlay data to spot patterns, draw connections, and answer key questions via a customisable dashboard
“Chorus plays an integral role in the gathering and interpretation of intelligence and we’re looking forward to expanding this capability across our departments. It will provide us with new ways to exploit our data, ensure we target the most significant threats and to help us reduce the impact of serious and organised crime across our region,” said Superintendent Stephen Morrey of ROCUWM.
“We’re delighted to be strengthening our partnership with both West Midlands Police and ROCUWM to continue to support them in their digital investigations, said Boyd Mulvey, CEO of Chorus Intelligence. “With the tide of data at an all-time high, equipping Analysts and data specialists with the tools to spot patterns and form connections between data, through automated techniques, is now a necessity.”
In addition, both organisations will be migrating to the Chorus PASF private cloud environment. This will offer users a flexible working approach and the opportunity to access their data and conduct investigations anytime, anywhere.
