Intelligence Analyst Training 

The aim of this course is to provide the attendee with the necessary skills and learning to effectively perform the function of an Intelligence Analyst within multiple operational environments. It will practically demonstrate the analysis of differing forms of data, information and intelligence that will ultimately lead to effective operational and organisational decision making.

Introduction to Communications Data

The aim of this course is to provide a comprehensive overview of communications data, from its acquisition through to its use in aiding investigations and enhancing operational decision making. On completion, attendees will be able to interpret different data sets from different data providers, and highlight the critical role data plays in evidence and the importance of evidential attribution.

Effective Analysis of Communications Data

The aim of this course is to enable attendees to understand and interpret communications data and apply analysis that can be used in an operational context to provide insights that will aid effective decision making.  Interpreting different types of communications data and being able to integrate them with other digital data, information, and evidence are also covered.

The aim of this course is to provide Investigators and Analysts with an insight into how degrees of anonymity can be achieved by individuals, how the deep web is structured, how it works, its link to cybercrime and its implications on investigations.

Open Source Research and Investigation

The aim of this course is to provide a comprehensive guide to conducting level 3-4 open source research and investigations enabling effective capture of evidence and intelligence provision. Identifying useful tools, extensions and ‘add-ons’ that enable effective data capture and learning how to effectively use key terms and operators for a variety of search engines are also covered.

Microsoft Excel to Enhance Analytical Support

The aim of this course is to identify the potential uses of Microsoft Excel within an operational environment and leave the attendees with the skills to exploit its capabilities. On completion, attendees will be able to use Excel as an aid to present complex datasets in a clear and concise manner to assist operational decision making.
