Since our Autumn user event, we have been developing Chorus to provide an estimate on the value of a drugs line based on the call data alone. This new feature will be released in a forthcoming update to Chorus Analyse next year, but until then we are delighted to release a macro that will allow users to undertake this calculation using the base report exports from Chorus.
The simple principle behind the macro is as follows:
Unique contact to a drugs line (over a period of time) x average weight of a drugs transaction (in grams) = value of the drugs line (in kg/g)
For example, 5000 contacts (over 30 days) x 0.4g per transaction = 2000g/2kg
The tool is incredibly simple to use and requires you to only produce two exports from Chorus Analyse. Firstly, you will need to run a Bulk Message Report from the Reports section. Secondly, once you know your drugs line number you will need to run a search in Data Dashboard and export the Activity Matrix. The Macro is dynamic and offers flexibility by allowing users to change the average weight of a specific drugs transaction, for example some of our users use 0.2g as a multiplier and others 0.9g.
