Junior QA Engineer

Overview

As a Junior QA Engineer, you will work closely with the test team to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for performing Functional, Exploratory, and Regression Testing, meticulously documenting results, and effectively reporting any bugs found. You will play a key role in ensuring our products meet high-quality standards before release.

As part of your role, you will:

  • Write and execute manual and automated test scripts
  • Develop test specifications and ensure test coverage aligns with project requirements
  • Provide clear and concise feedback to the QA Manager and development teams
  • Use Jira for issue tracking and development planning
  • Apply appropriate testing methodologies to identify defects early in the development cycle
  • Identify, track, and resolve testing risks and issues
  • Review and recommend testing environments, tools, and methodologies
  • Contribute technical expertise to the team, ensuring best testing practices
  • Knowledge/Experience of automation tools and languages such as Cypress, JavaScript, or TypeScript would be beneficial

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience in software testing however, graduates with the right skill set will be considered
  • Familiarity with testing concepts, tools, and methodologies
  • Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright) is an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
