Chorus Intelligence Suite (CIS): Accessibility Statement

The Chorus Intelligence Suite (CIS) is a cloud-based, Software as a Service (SaaS) platform. The following statement outlines the measures we have taken to make it accessible.

Measures to support accessibility

Chorus Intelligence takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of the CIS:

  • Include accessibility throughout our internal policies
  • Integrate accessibility into our procurement practices
  • Provide continual accessibility training for our staff
  • Assign clear accessibility goals and responsibilities
  • Employ formal accessibility quality assurance methods

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

The CIS is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. We are constantly working on improving the accessibility of the CIS and welcome any feedback from users on how we can improve further.

Compatibility with browsers and assistive technology

The CIS is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

  • Chrome browser with screen readers on Windows 11
  • Chrome browser with screen readers on Mac

Technical specifications

Accessibility of the CIS relies on the following technologies to work, with the combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:

  • HTML
  • CSS
  • JavaScript

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.

Limitations and alternatives

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of the CIS there may be some limitations, which includes:

  • GIS Layer – GIS layers are hard to make fully compliant. This is due to the dynamic nature of the data and maps, especially where the exact content being mapped is not known. Efforts have been made to make it as accessible as possible. For example, the data is available in other formats such as tables. Unfortunately, there are limitations in the technology and controls we have available to us. If you are experiencing issues, please contact our support team and we will do our utmost to assist.

Assessment approach

Chorus Intelligence assessed the accessibility of the CIS by the following approaches:

  • External evaluation, undertaken by a third party.
