Chorus Intelligence Ltd, ‘Chorus’, announced today that it has extended its partnership with Cheshire Constabulary with the addition of the Chorus Intelligence Suite (CIS), an industry-first, end-to-end, digital intelligence and investigations solution.
The CIS features intuitive data cleansing, analysis, search, and entity enrichment tools that will empower Cheshire’s newly established county lines team to accelerate its digital investigations.
Cheshire is also an existing user of Chorus Analyse and will continue to use this across its analytical departments.
The key capabilities of the CIS will enable the team to:
- Make evidence-based decisions– Overlay multiple data types (analytical, OSINT and internal) in one interactive dashboard to easily spot connections
- Collaborate and share– Collaborate on cases and share intelligence internally and externally with partners and agencies.
- Optimise OSINT – Connect/API multiple systems into one platform, to be queried in one bulk search, returning evidence, fast.
- Maximise resources – leverage actionable intelligence to determine the who, what, when and where of a crime and allocate resources effectively.
A major feature of the CIS is its advanced entity enrichment and attribution tool, which will enable the county lines team to accelerate its open-source investigations. Users can query any entity, such as a name, phone number, email address or alias, and search across internal files, consented data and over 200+ social media platforms (Powered by ShadowDragon) in one bulk search. Any evidence found online can then be securely captured, via an IP-obfuscated environment, to protect anonymity.
“The CIS presents a significant technological step forward for accelerating digital investigations and we’re excited to be rolling it out to our county lines team,” said Dave Morgan, Sergeant at Cheshire Constabulary. “The amount of data that must be considered to investigate county lines offences today is often overwhelming. However, the data search, analysis and enrichment capabilities of the CIS will help us to overcome this challenge and ensure that no stone is left unturned.”
Neil Chivers, CEO of Chorus Intelligence, added, “I am delighted to be extending our partnership with Cheshire Constabulary as they take an innovation leap in managing this major crime type. Criminals initiating county lines crimes continue to become more sophisticated and the CIS has been developed with this in mind. We are excited to see the benefits the new system will provide to the team.”
